Raising More Than Chickens

We believe people should know where their food comes from. We are committed to healing the land and giving back more than we take. We employ locally and cultivate community, right in your neighborhood.

Our Story

A few years ago we got fed up with eating processed food.

Members of our family began having health issues and after some testing, we found out we were more or less allergic to the processed foods we were eating.

We went on a cleanse, eliminating processed foods, and began seeking out healthier, more natural and local food alternatives

We immediately noticed a difference in the locally purchased foods vs. store bought. The local foods were fresher, tasted better, lasted longer, and we felt good after eating them.

I (Adam) was originally born in Illinois, and moved to Tennessee for the military with my beautiful wife and five children in 2008.

I grew up in a family with an agriculture background and began to seek out healthier food options when we began developing sensitivity and allergies to foods we loved to eat. My time in the military taught me that nothing is impossible, so we decided to raise and grow some of our own food for personal use and a bit extra for friends and family.

I have a deep love for being connected to God through His creation and hope to use Nomadic Pastures to serve communities through healthy food and employment all over the world.

I (Remy) was originally born in Florida, and moved to Tennessee with my beautiful wife and daughter to pursue a passion in agriculture and education.

I grew up around agriculture and have deep love for growing and raising my own food and permaculture design.

I earned a Masters in Public Health with an emphasis in Environmental Health from the University of Florida and I’m currently working towards a PhD Agriculture with a speciality in Agriculture Education in order to share my passions with the next generation of farmers.

I have worked for the USDA, raised meat goats, and currently teach Agriculture at Clarksville Christian School.
